Comic-Con 2026 Panels, Activations, Cosplay & Convention Floor


San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is expanding beyond the convention center, with major entertainment brands taking over downtown San Diego with immersive activations, panels, free fan experiences and exclusive parties.

Todays panels are headlined by Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated Hall H presentation, alongside major showcases from Apple TV, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Reacher, and Mike Flanagan’s Carrie.

The day began with an animation takeover in Ballroom 20, featuring panels for Bob’s Burgers, Futurama, The Simpsons, American Dad, and Family Guy, with exclusive footage, cast appearances and previews of upcoming seasons.

Apple TV also had major presence spotlighting Matchbox The Movie, Dark Matter Season 2, Silo Season 3, Mayday and Widow’s Bay. Hall H also hosted Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ Season 4 panel and the franchise’s 60th anniversary celebration with cast members and Star Trek legends.

AMC+ debuted a first look at Yaga, while The Rookie previewed its upcoming ninth season. Prime Video brings Reacher and new spinoff Neagley, followed by Mike Flanagan unveiling never-before-seen footage from his television adaptation of Stephen King’s Carrie.

The day concludes with Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation, where Kevin Feige and surprise guests are expected to reveal what’s next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Yesterday’s programming was led by Hall H presentations from Prime Video, DC Studios, AMC and more. Prime Video debuted new footage from Blade Runner 2099 and season three of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, while AMC previewed The Walking Dead: Dead City season three, shared a first look at Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire season four with a Queen of the Damned trailer, and showcased The Vampire Lestat.

DC Studios took over Hall H with the first Comic-Con look at Lanterns, featuring stars Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre alongside co-creators Damon Lindelof, Chris Mundy and Tom King. CBS brought back Ghosts before premiering its new comedy Eternally Yours in Ballroom 20, while Rick and Morty and King of the Hill headlined the Indigo Ballroom.

The day concluded with Spaceballs: The New One, a 20th anniversary celebration of Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth, and a God of War: Laufey panel featuring Cory Barlog, Deborah Ann Woll, Chris Judge and Jack Quaid.

Outside the convention center, Comic-Con attendees also gathered for a surprise Green Day event at Petco Park on Friday afternoon. Fans lined up at the branded ice cream truck where the band promoted the upcoming comedy film Nimrods. Inspired by Green Day’s early touring days before the release of Dookie.

Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con delivered a slate of major franchise reveals and exclusive first looks before fans headed across downtown for immersive activations and parties.

Disney+ kicked things off by debuting an exclusive preview of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3, giving fans an early look at the next chapter of the hit fantasy series. Insomniac Games followed with a presentation for Marvel’s Wolverine, unveiling new gameplay footage and sharing fresh details ahead of the game’s September release.

Paramount also offered attendees an early preview of Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, providing a first glimpse at the highly anticipated animated feature set after the events of the original series. The day also featured the world premiere of Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, HBO Max’s upcoming The Big Bang Theory spinoff, with cast members and creators taking the stage to discuss the new comedy following its debut screening.

Outside the convention center, Sony Pictures and Discord launched the Resident Evil Fan Experience at Quartyard, marking the first time Discord has extended one of its Quests beyond the platform with an immersive, real-world activation. Running throughout Comic-Con, the experience coincides with the global launch of the Resident Evil Mission Quest on Discord, allowing fans worldwide to watch the film’s trailer and earn rewards.

Attendees stepped into a film-inspired environment where they solved puzzles, cracked hidden codes and completed missions during a 60-minute interactive adventure. The activation also featured a live Q&A with Resident Evil director Zach Cregger and star Austin Abrams, allowing fans to hear directly from the filmmakers behind the upcoming horror film.

Hasbro celebrated the 40th anniversary of Transformers: The Movie with The Apology Tour, a one-night-only concert that featured Stan Bush, Vince DiCola, Knights of Unicron and other franchise performers.  After the convention floor closed, Comic-Con’s nightlife shifted to the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, where Fandom hosted its ninth annual Comic-Con party at FLOAT. The event featured a headline performance by The Coverups, the rock cover band fronted by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong with a special appearance from Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden.

Nickelodeon leads the charge of activations with its Fun-Ergy Factory, a 1,800-square-foot interactive booth featuring experiences inspired by SpongeBob SquarePants, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, culminating in a nearly 20-foot Slime Surge. The network is also bringing Fun Flows Here to The New Children’s Museum park with slime-making, live entertainment and fan slimings.

Adult Swim returned to Bayfront Park with Adult Swim on the Green, headlined by The RAMbler, a Rick and Morty-themed carnival ride housed beneath a 26-foot Rick Sanchez head. The activation also features experiences based on Smiling Friends, Common Side Effects and President Curtis, before transforming each night into a festival with live shows, table reads and cosplay dance parties.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence is hosting the Attack of the Killer Comic-Con After Party, featuring an exclusive trailer preview, cast appearances, cosplay, DJs and dancing at Good Night John Boy.

Disney Entertainment Television is bringing three major franchise activations to San Diego, including Hulu Animayhem: Fandom Fuel Up, featuring Futurama and King of the Hill; FX’s American Horror Story: 13 Flavors, where themed ice cream trucks are joined by iconic characters; and The Percy Jackson and the Olympians Experience, an interactive adventure complete with exclusive Camp Half-Blood collectibles.

HBO Max is also expanding its Comic-Con presence with a Lanterns and Stuart Fails to Save the Universe experiences. Fans can train to become Green Lanterns through interactive challenges before earning a custom power ring, while The Big Bang Theory spinoff activation sends guests through multiverse-inspired adventures with exclusive personalized keepsakes.

Fans looking for something sweeter can visit Bucket Listers and Hasbro’s immersive Candy Land Café, where the classic board game comes to life through themed dining rooms, interactive activities and colorful desserts. Located at Bayside Kitchen + Bar, the pop-up will transport guests through colorful environments inspired by the classic game, including King Kandy’s Castle and Jolly’s Gumdrop Mountains. 

With studios and brands increasingly moving beyond the convention floor, Comic-Con 2026 is set to transform San Diego into a citywide celebration of fandom with some of the biggest moments happening outside the convention center.
