‘Good Trouble’s Michael Galante Starring In Comedy Pilot ‘Don’t Look Now’ Showcasing Visually Impaired Actors In Leading Roles

EXCLUSIVE: Good Trouble star Michael Galante is leading a first-of-its-kind comedy series featuring a host of visually impaired and low vision actors.

The Don’t Look Now comedy pilot has been forged to showcase visually impaired actors in leading roles and has been financed by author and visually impaired advocate Rebecca S. Meadows.

Set in an underfunded non-profit training center for the visually impaired, Don’t Look Now revolves around a diverse group of dedicated teachers and staff as they navigate the daily challenges of their work.

Galante, who played Brian in Freeform’s Good Trouble and has also had roles in Will & Grace and Boy Meets Girl, stars alongside an ensemble including Nathan Hurd (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law), Hannah Taragan (Grown-ish), Nimo Liré (Gift of Fear), Jamie H. Jung (Them), Patrick Agada (Kappa Force), Mikaylee Mina (The Black Mass), Diana Villegas (Dead For a Dollar) and Ramona Dubarry (The Curse).

“Celebrating the human experience through comedy while working with visually impaired actors is both a challenging and rewarding journey,” said director Geno Marx. “Our aim with Don’t Look Now is to authentically portray the lives of individuals within the visually impaired community, offering a fresh perspective that is as enlightening as it is entertaining.”

Marx also penned the original script and producers are Shawna Chance, Christine S. Freer and Jung, with Reinhard Lorenz serving as the line producer. Frank Buono is cinematographer. Production was supported by the New Mexico Commission For The Blind and was helped by 10 background players that are students and staff at the commission.
