21 Best Green Wedding Guest Dresses To Stand Out In

Green wedding guest dresses have piqued our interest ever since we saw a slew of them hit the ‘new in’ ready-to-wear sections of Taller Marmo, Alessandra Rich and Ralph Lauren this season. Despite 2023’s colour of the year being declared magenta pink by Pantone, it seems a certain leafy hue is chasing Barbiecore‘s tail. And we’re kind of here for it.

It goes without saying that floral wedding guest dresses, pink wedding guest dresses and long-sleeve wedding guest dresses will always have residency in our eventwear arsenal, but as far as summer wedding guest dresses go for this year, green is it.

Earthy designer frocks were rife at Sofia Richie Grainge‘s nuptials, and the same can be said for the styles donned by many an influencer at Sophie Habboo and Jaimie Laing’s two ceremonies, so what is it about green that’s got everyone so hooked?

According to the universal colour chart, green is trans-seasonal and suits virtually everyone – yep, even those with undertones of it in their skin. That said, there’s a lot to consider when it comes picking which shade you go for when wearing it to a wedding. You don’t want anything too lairy so as to outshine the bride, but you also don’t want to go super subtle and risk blending into the leafy backgrounds of the flower displays.

Our advice? Olive remains big news this year, with sage bridesmaid dresses at an all-time high in popularity, championed by the likes of Pretty Lavish and ASOS DESIGN. Elsewhere, jewel toned emeralds and teals can be found anywhere from Mango – via this pleated halter neck design – to Eres with its cut-out Carmen silhouette, and make for a confident choice in the ‘best dressed guest’ category.
