Zach Roloff: My Dad Effed Up Big Time with the Farm!

Zach Roloff may have literally moved addresses.

But he isn’t ready to move all the way on.

Not quite yet, at least.

As you likely read about a few months ago, Zach, his wife Tori and their three young kids bought a new home in Washington in the fall of 2021, unpacking their boxes and settling in last October.

The announcement took plenty of followers by surprise because many folks had been assuming that Zach would one day take over his family farm from his dad, Matt.

Fast forward a couple months, however, and we quickly learned the truth:

Matt confirmed via Instagram that he was putting 16 acres of this land up for sale, later justifying the decision by alleging that he tried to give Zach (and/or his twin sibling, Jeremy) a deal on the property.

Alas, Matt claimed, the relatives couldn’t settle on a price.

“Both of [Zach and Jerremy] (along with their growing families) had moved on to other interests and investments,” Matt wrote of why he didn’t sell the farm to his kids, adding several weeks ago:

“Even tho a substantial family discount and a “gift of equity” was offered by both Amy and I….(and I still owe Amy a bundle of money) ..they decided individually that the timing was not right for them to purchase a part of the farm at this time.”

It didn’t take long for Zach to publicly respond to Matt’s above message, as he stunned fans by calling out his father as a coward.

Zach Roloff Goes Off on Dad, Makes Shocking Demand in Little People, Big World Promo

“This post is extremely misguided and false. My dad is manipulating the narrative right now before the season comes out,” Zach wrote in the Comments section of his dad’s message, elaborating as follows:

Once again like he has for most of his life not taking responsibility for his own actions and blaming others.

Dragging the family drama that he created and then manipulate the fan base to make himself come out okay.

This post his a new shocking low of cowardice and manipulation of his family and kids for his own gain.

This brings us up to date, and it brings us to this week’s new episode of Little People, Big World.

In a clip shared by Entertainment Tonight (from an installment filmed many months ago), Zach sits down alongside his spouse and discusses his new digs.

“We’re excited for our kids to grow up here,” he says of the house in Washington, prior to hurling shade at his dad.

“The way we got here was not good and, like, actions from other people, I think, weren’t right.”

Matt and Zach Roloff on Air

Yikes, huh?

It’s never a good sign when you can’t even cite the other person by name.

“It’s not going to be the same childhood I had,” Zach added, acknowledging he hasn’t been talking to his father much and stating on air:

“But either way, they weren’t going to have that exact same childhood even if it was at the farm.”

Zach Roloff and Tori Roloff Interview

Speaking to E! News in May, in the wake of his fiery post, Zach admitted that he has a few regrets about the way it was handled.

“I think it was a mistake to put it on social media, but I think I made my thoughts pretty clear,” the father of three explained, adding that he and his wife Tori “are moving on.”

Zach didn’t delve into details regarding where things now stand with Matt, simply concluding last month:

“It’s all good. We’re all family.”
