In the wake of Josh Duggar getting arrested on two counts of child pornography late last month, multiple family members did come out and address the disgusting scandal.
How could they not, right?
Duggar has been accused of almost as heinous of a crime as one can imagine.
According to federal agents, the father of six downloaded hundreds of photos/videos in 2019 of minors as young as five years old.
These photos/videos were explicit in nature.
If convicted on both aforementioned counts, Duggar could face up to 40 years in jail.
This is unquestionably the biggest scandal in reality TV history, perhaps only dwarfed by Josh Duggar also having admitted six years ago that he molested numerous young girls when he was a teenager.
On April 30, Josh’s parents released the following statement:
“We appreciate your continued prayers for our family at this time. The accusations brought against Joshua today are very serious.
“It is our prayer that the truth, no matter what it is, will come to light, and that this will all be resolved in a timely manner.
“We love Josh and Anna and continue to pray for their family.”
We’ve heard nothing from Jim Bob or Michelle since, however.
Now, courtesy of Fox News, we can confirm that we likely won’t be hearing from them any time soon, either.
The outlet obtained photos from the Duggars’ infamous compound in Springdale, Arkansas a couple days ago, quoting an onlooker who presumably snapped these pictures while walking by.
“The only signs of life beyond the gates of the Duggar family home was one lone white dog,” said the pedestrian.
Despite around a dozen family members still residing in the multi-acre property, the source said it appeared as if there were “practically no signs of human life” on the day Duggar appeared in federal court.
If you recall, Josh himself — along with his pregnant wife and six kids — live in a warehouse somewhere near the main mansion.
There were at least five vehicles in the driveway at the Duggar property amid Josh’s court appearance on April 30.
There was also an empty playground and a large wooden sculpture spelling out “Duggar” in the front yard.
For the foreseeable future, Josh will be living with friends of his mother and father.
He’s not allowed to be near his children, not without the accompaniment of a third-party chaperone; nor is he allowed to leave the state, possess a firearm or look at X-rated material, among other strict terms of his release from federal custody.
Josh himself, meanwhile, has not said anything since the day of his arrest.
As noted above, though, his relatives have spoken out on numerous occasions.
Said Jilll Duggar, for example:
We just found out this information yesterday. It is very sad.
And Jinger Duggar:
We are disturbed to hear of the charges against Josh.
While this case must go through the legal system, we want to make it clear that we absolutely condemn any form of child abuse and fully support the authorities and judicial process in their pursuit of justice.
Amy Duggar:
I’m kind of speechless, we just hope it’s not true.
I spoke with several of my cousins after we heard about the arrest.
We’re in shock, but we don’t want to think the worst of someone, you want to think the best. If it is true it would absolutely devastate a lot of people.

The recent allegations brought against Josh sadden us to our core.
We have not wanted to be hasty in making any statements while still trying to process the news ourselves.
We are especially heartbroken by the reality that there are children in the world being harmed and exploited.
