Kelly Dodd and Rick Leventhal: We’re Ready to Get Married!!

In November of 2019, Kelly Dodd became engaged to Rick Leventhal.

Now, ten months later, she and Rick have obtained their marriage license and set the wedding date.

Kelly shared this photo on Instagram, in which she is receiving an affectionate kiss from her fiance.

“We got our marriage license today!!!” the The Real Housewives of Orange County star announces.

She gushes: “I’m so excited to marry my ride or die @rickleventhal.”

Kelly’s gleeful caption continues with four red heart emojis.

She then confirms the wedding date, set for October 10, writing: “10/10/20.”

That’s certainly a fun and easy to remember date — and as a plus, both US and European styles of writing the date write it the same way.

Additionally, in the comments, Kelly reveals that Jeremy J Fraser will be her photographer — clearly, her wedding photographer.

That date is just two and a half weeks away, so we assume that Kelly has all of the planning done.

That said … she may not have as many details to hassle over as your typical wedding might.

No one is more pleased and surprised than we are to hear that, per reports, Kelly will be having a fairly small ceremony.

According to E! News‘ source, “It will be a very intimate wedding.” Jolie, Kelly’s daughter, will take part in it.

The report also says that the nuptials will take place at a vineyard in Napa Valley — though as you can see below, there is at least rumor that Kelly will tie the knot at Sonoma.

E! News tends to take vetting sources pretty seriously, so we’re comfortable going with Napa being the answer.

(Napa and Sonoma are both valleys known for their vineyards, but Napa tends to be a little pricier, but both destinations have their positive attributes)

The surprise here is that they’re not trying to have some sort of extra-large Wedding Of The Red Death, given Kelly’s unsubtle feelings on the matter.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Kelly has made a show of mocking virus safety guidelines, either not understanding them or choosing to pretend that she does not.

She has spread dangerous misinformation, told blatant lies, and even mocked the death toll as “God’s way of thinning the herd.”

Sadly, that is not the biggest surprise in the world. Just look at the malicious company that Kelly has been known to keep.

With that in mind, some Real Housewives fans have called for Kelly to be fired — because she is using her platform to encourage people to live dangerously and to endanger others.

Others are voicing support for Kelly in a display of what we can only refer to as “malice signaling.”

Just as “I heart Goya” signals Trump support and “I heart J.K. Rowling” is a new calling card for transphobes, a vicious few are making outspoken support for Kelly their way of showing contempt for anyone not wanting to catch or spread a deadly virus.

Kelly doesn’t exactly exhude an aura of warmth and kindness. One could argue that cruelty is her brand.

The truly jarring thing about her doubling down on her covidiocy even after six months and over 200,000 deaths is that, well, Kelly may be a covidiot, but she’s not a regular idiot.

She has always struck us as a smart person. That means that she simply chose to be a bad person, to not care about other people. That’s worse than simply being too dim to understand viral spread.

So why will her wedding be a small, intimate gathering? Maybe it’s just to avoid bad PR surrounding this one event — she can make headlines for bad things at other times.

Maybe it’s because not enough people are willing to risk their lives and those of their loved ones to attend the wedding of two people who were attending maskless barbecues just weeks earlier.

Or maybe, deep down, Kelly and Rick understand the pandemic more than they let on. We just don’t know.
