Haley from ‘Too Hot to Handle’ Said Harry Only Dated Francesca for Publicity

On Wednesday, Harry Jowsey, one-half of the most successful couple on Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle, broke his silence on his breakup with Francesca Farago. In a video that lasts longer than 10 minutes, Jowsey shared why he broke up with Farago.

“When we were together, we were always on edge, alway,” he said, in part. “We would have the highest highs—the best highs, like, the happiest moments of my entire life were with her. But when things were bad, they were really bad. So every time we would fight, it would just be the worst and most depressed times in my entire life. I can’t stress that enough.” He continued, addressing his own mental health: “I knew that if I continued to be with Francesca, it would end up with her being seriously heartbroken or me continuing to be seriously depressed in the relationship,” he said. “She’s a wonderful person. She’s so gorgeous and everyone’s right. She’s well and truly out of my league. She’s a superstar and I’m so proud of her.”

If you watched Too Hot to Handle, then you know that, besides Jowsey, Farago’s biggest ally was Haley Cureton. Cureton was a fellow contestant who conspired with Farago to make out, break the rules of the show, and lose everyone money. It was always pretty clear that Cureton would have been quite happy breaking more rules with Farago, though the two have remained friends, and according to TMZ, are going to be roommates. 2020 has been a really rough year, so does anyone mind if I hold out hope that this is more of an air-quotes roommate situation?

Per TMZ, Cureton said that she’s certain Jowsey only dated Farago to get more attention after the show ended. Cureton has a theory that Jowsey first fell for Farago’s looks and then decided he’d continue the relationship to draw out his 15 minutes of fame.

Before Jowsey posted his video, Farago posted her own six-minute long video about the breakup. Farago, who accepted Jowsey’s Ring Pop proposal on the Too Hot to Handle reunion last month, alluded to the fact that she and Jowsey were planning to live together in L.A. She also addressed the rumors that had been going around about Jowsey.

“I personally, genuinely thought that it was just like a two-week thing, and we were going to be fine when I move there, and everything was going to be amazing, and we were messaging each other everyday saying we missed each other and sending photos and tagging each other in memes, and sending each other the wedding pictures, like everything was normal,” she said…There were a lot of rumors that came up that turned out to be true, and I was getting sent a lot of screenshots and messages. I didn’t want to believe it because how could you have a wedding folder with someone and how could you propose to someone but you’re also saying, “I can’t be with you because of the distance”? Just, it makes me feel like I was being played. I’m just, like, sad with myself for letting myself be put through these situations.”
