One of the best horror films of 2019 was Adam Egypt Mortimer‘s Daniel Isn’t Real, a mind fuck of a film that’s become a favorite among Bloody Disgusting staff and readers.
Exciting news as we’ve learned Mortimer is already in production on his next effort, Archenemy, which stars “True Blood’s” Joe Manganiello as a “hero from another dimension”, pictured above.
Here’s the plot crunch ahead of the Cannes market:
“Max Fist (Manganiello) is a hero from another dimension who fell through time and space and landed on Earth. No one believes his stories except for a young kid named Hamster. Together they fight drug dealers and their boss ‘The Manager’ to help take back their city.”
Joseph D. Reitman and Mac Brandt also star. Voltage Pictures is handling sales.
