Drake’s New Watch Has a Fully Functional Roulette Wheel

Welcome to Watches of the Week, where we’ll track the rarest, wildest, and most covetable watches spotted on celebrities.

Some watches track the moon’s phase; others ding on the hour. Drake’s watches have complications, too, the more modern the better: remember the one that makes a Sexy Mad Lib at the push of a button? It was clear that more of the same was imminent last week when Drake posted pictures of himself hanging out with the watch world’s King of Excess, Jacob Arabo. We didn’t have to wait long to see the fruit of Drake’s shopping trip: this week he wore a Jacob & Co. Astronomia Casino: a watch that contains a functional roulette wheel and a ceramic white ball that skitters around it. Because who needs to know what phase the moon is in when you can do some light wrist gambling? Also this week, Tom Holland’s finds his niche and we find out what watch a Super Bowl MVP wears.

Drake’s Jacob & Co. Astronomia Casino

You know that feeling when you’re hanging with your boys you’re struck by the urge to get in a quick game of roulette? No? Well, maybe that’s because you don’t have Drake’s new Casino watch, which trades out a watch’s dial for a roulette table. What time is it? Game time. Jacob & Co. is known for making watches that show excavator trucks and oil pumps in motion, and ones that play the entire theme song from The Godfather. Drake’s is somehow the most complicated of the bunch. Take a look at it in motion below.

A$AP Rocky’s Jacob & Co. Five Time Zone

When it rains Jacob & Co. watches, it pours, apparently. A$AP Rocky was seen wearing the brand’s multi-colored Five Time Zone watch. And while it doesn’t set you up to play an impromptu round of roulette wherever and whenever, the watch can tell Rocky the hour and minute in New York, Tokyo, Paris, Los Angeles, plus wherever he happens to be at the time.

Tom Holland’s Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5168G-001

When you’re a watch collector, it’s important to have a thing. Drake has his, and it appears Tom Holland is honing in on his own obsession. After spending much of last year’s Spider-Man press tour wearing the chocolate-brown Patek Philippe Aquanaut, Holland is sticking with what works for him. It appears Holland got himself another Aquanaut, this time in white gold with a pretty navy-blue dial. While most collectors are after another Patek—the brand’s Nautilus is maybe the most in-demand luxury timepiece in existence—Holland is going in a different direction.

Patrick Mahomes’s Rolex Yacht-Master 40

Patrick Mahomes: you just won the Super Bowl! What watch are you going to wear now? Naturally, the answer is a Rolex. During the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory parade, Mahomes wore the Yacht-Master, Rolex’s watch made for skippers and captains. Mahomes’s comes in rose gold with a rubber bracelet, which is built to handle a brackish sea, but can just as easily handle spilt beer and popped champagne.

Chris Tucker’s Rolex Deapsea

The Rolex Deepsea was built for the kind of bottom-of-the-ocean exploration that got Jules Verne all hopped up: the standard model of the watch can travel 12,800 feet underwater. And in 2014, to celebrate director James Cameron’s dive all the way to the depths of the ocean (35,787 feet below, to be precise, with the use of a specially-built Rolex), the brand released a special-edition Deepsea with a “D-blue” dial. Appropriately, the dial is ocean-floor black on the bottom, and eases into sea-blue on the top half. Chris Tucker wore the watch to a Lakers game.

Helen Lasichanh’s Richard Mille RM 37-01 Automatic “Kiwi”

In this house , they wear Richard Mille. Late last year, Pharrell released his very own collaborative watch with Richard Mille, and now wearing the brand is a family affair. Pharrell’s wife Helen Lasichanh wore a piece from the brand’s sweet Bonbon collection. The “Kiwi” edition on Lasichanh’s wrist features a green rubber strap inspired by the fruit’s meat and dancing pieces of citrus on the dial.
