‘The Devil All the Time’ trailer is here and Robert Pattinson and Tom Holland are giving us goosebumps

Since his Twilight days, the world has had an eternal soft spot for Robert Pattinson. The British actor, famed for his leading role as vampire Edward Cullen in Stephanie Meyer’s twilight saga, has built up a devoted global following for his unrivalled performances in blockbuster films and for holding the title of Hollywood’s most mysterious man (read: he doesn’t have Instagram).

Now Robert has teamed up with the other love in our life (Netflix) for a brand new juicy thriller. Promising to have you jumping out of your seat, The Devil Of All Time is the brainchild of director Antonio Campos, best recognised for his work on Simon Killer and Christine. The Devil Of All Time will be Antonio’s master interpretation of Donald Ray Pollock’s award-winning novel that traces two generations between World War II and the Vietnam War.

The film’s initial synopsis reads: “In Knockemstiff, Ohio and its neighboring backwoods, sinister characters — an unholy preacher, twisted couple, and crooked sheriff — converge around young Arvin Russell as he fights the evil forces that threaten him and his family.” Anyone else feeling the goosebumps already?

“I’m a big fan of southern gothic and noir and this was a perfect marriage of the two. Sometimes you might be adapting a piece and you think like, Well, there is a seed of a good idea here and I’ll just throw everything away and start from scratch. In this case it was like, we love everything!”, Campos revealed to Entertainment Weekly.

R-Patz takes on the role of the unholy preacher. He is joined by Tom Holland, Jason Clarke, Riley Keough, Sebastian Stan, Eliza Scanlan, Bill Skarsgård, Mia Wasikowska, Harry Melling, and Haley Bennett. So, no biggie then.

Buckle up for the fright of your life, people.

Netflix will release “The Devil All the Time” on September 16.
