The 23-piece Adanola x Hailey Bieber collection combines two of our favourite tastemakers on an edit of activewear that feels more elevated and feminine than our regular joggers. Sharing the inspiration, a press release from the pair explained the collection is “rooted in the instinctive way dancers layer, adapt and personalise their uniforms, the “DIY” ritual of altering high-performance dancewear to make something entirely their own. Hailey’s own history of creating dance studio looks — rolling and ruching trousers, cutting tights into bolero tops and cropping sweaters — became a driving inspiration for the collection.”
Elsewhere, Adanola founder, Hyrum Cook, mused “Hailey has always felt like a natural fit for Adanola,” adding “she has a huge influence on style and culture, but also a genuine connection to movement and wellness. Her effortless style and the way she blends activewear into everyday life strongly align with our customer. We’ve wanted to work with her for a long time, and her ballet background gave us a meaningful and authentic starting point for the collaboration.”
The campaign video for the collection saw Hailey step back en pointe in a Los Angeles studio after dark and it’s got us ready to book an evening class ourselves. But, even if you’re not interested in perfecting an arabesque, the sleek, stretchy styles offer up the perfect off-duty OOTDs.
As for heroes? The Crop Sleeve V Neck Top is set to be a fan favourite and the sling bag is perfect to take you from a dance class to a lazy brunch. Ballet references in the form of scoop backs and the shawl knit bolero add sophistication, while the polar fleece and zip-through knitted sweatshirt are ideal for autumn. Colour-wise, the palette of dusty mauves, vintage blue, chalk lilac, marshmallow white and coffee bean brown feels equal parts modern and nostalgic.
