Stevie Nicks Delivers Powerful Performance of “Stand Back” on Kimmel

Stevie Nicks took over the Jimmy Kimmel Live! stage for a powerful performance of her 1983 hit “Stand Back” that aired on Tuesday, August 25th. Watch a replay below.

During the performance, Nicks’ vocals soared above the song’s classic synths. As usual, she was accompanied by longtime collaborator Waddy Wachtel, who absolutely shredded on guitar without overpowering her singing.

“Stand Back” is a staple of Nicks’ live concerts. It was released as the lead single from Nicks’ second solo album, The Wild Heart, and reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Nicks is almost guaranteed to perform “Stand Back” at Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural all-female festival, Daisy Chain Fields, which goes down this Saturday, August 29th.

Earlier this month, Lindsey Buckingham shared that he and Nicks were “talking all the time now” and teased something big for 2027. “I think quite a few things will reveal themselves,” he said of next year.

Next year marks the 50th anniversary of Rumoursone of the greatest albums ever made, so stay tuned for more updates.
