90 Day Fiance viewers could not focus upon Yvette Arellano’s wedding to Mohamed Abdelhamed.
Why? Because we had already seen Mohamed’s text messages in which he insulted and betrayed Yve.
Now, Yve’s fans are wishing her well.
And some can’t help point out that she’s a hot MILF who will land on her feet.
We should probably remember that, for better or for worse, this twisted story began with thirst.
Mohamed slid into Yve’s DMs.
He as her bikini photo and was dickmatized instantly. Whatever we may think of him now, that part still rings true.
At first, Yve and Mohamed’s story was simple enough.
Abs-for-abs thirst, purely online. But all of their flirty talking led to, well, more than just talking.
Yvette flew out to Egypt to meet Mohamed. There, things moved to another level.
Yve, a hot single mom and a hardworking professional, wanted more than just a vacation hookup.
Mohamed proposed (apparently, a grand total of three times), and the two went through the K-1 visa process.
Once Mohamed came to New Mexico, however, Yve began to see a different side to him.
Yvette had already cleaned out her closet for him. She was drinking less. She eliminated pork from her diet.
Mohamed wanted more, asking for breakfast in bed.
He even demanded that she not interact with men she hired in her own home.
Mohamed also tried, again and again, to drive a wedge between Yve and her friends.
Sometimes, people do have toxic friends who are a bad influence on them. (Reality TV isn’t a great place to judge who that is, though)
In this case, Mohamed wasn’t saying “I don’t like Rochelle” or “Tatiana is bad for you.” He didn’t like any of her squad.
Then, Mohamed made it clear that he had not been entirely honest with Yvette about his expectations.
He added restrictions to what he wanted her to do. He also told her that her beliefs would corrupt any potential child.
Mohamed also began to reveal that he wanted Yve to convert to his faith — something that she’d told him that she would not do.
For reasons that viewers do not fully understand, none of that seemed to make a difference.
Yve and Mohamed still ended up getting married. It was, at least, a beautiful ceremony.
But just days before the wedding aired (months after it took place, of course), Mohamed’s alleged texts surfaced.
A series of unverified but very believable screenshots surfaced, appearing to show Mohamed cheating on Yve.
The texts invite another woman to visit Albuquerque, promise to keep her “in bed for days,” and insult Yve and Tharan.
It also appears that Mohamed spoke multiple times about waiting for his green card before actually leaving her.
One can only imagine how devastated Yvette is feeling.
She cannot directly speak on the news without breaking her NDA, but she “vaguely” asked fans to stop victim-blaming.
Meanwhile, fans (the ones who aren’t blaming Yve for Mohamed’s actions) are flocking to support her.
She is, after all, a hottie.
If Mohamed had just been looking for any mark, he could have found someone with fewer options. He chose a hottie.
All evidence points to the texts being real. No matter what, though, Yve will get through this.
We don’t know if she’ll be ready to film 90 Day: The Single Life any time soon.
But on camera or on her own, she shouldn’t have any trouble moving on. And her fans are happy to gas her up about it.
