‘Silent Hill 4: The Room’ Rated For PC For Potential Re-Release?

While the re-releases of Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance on PC wasn’t quite what fans had in mind when the initial rumour appeared, it’s still great that Konami worked out a deal to bring them back. Of course, the next question is: Where’s Silent Hill? Apparently, according to a rating entry on the PEGI website, we might have the answer soon.

Spotted on the ratings website is an entry for Silent Hill 4: The Room, which was released onto PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2 back in 2004. Of course, Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 were also released on PC, so that begs the question: are we going to see Silent Hill 4 on GOG.com? And if so, will Silent Hill 2 and 3 follow? Given that the release date on the entry is tomorrow (October 2), it’ll be a nice way to kick off the first Friday of October.

If it does turn out to be the real deal, there are numerous mods and enhancements to bring the games into more modern times, which we’ve covered in several instances.

But let’s be honest: while this is all well and good, we just want a proper new entry in the series, Konami. Just give us that. Please.
