Video Review: The FMs “Change Your Men Up"

Scintillating gender insanity where goth and queer collide in a frenzied, chaotic artistic revelation, “Change Up Your Men” is a complete orgasmic fuck me, this is great! The FM’s already known for their “wanting to save the world without being dicks about it”, let alone what the faction’s name stands for: “femmes, female to males, fuck me sillies”, is a Brooklyn based gender fluid, androgynous band with an industrial synth- pop sound combined with goth elements and a glam punk attitude.

Their single, “Change Your Men Up” has recently appeared in the showtime movie “Fluidity”, along with the band themselves. It was produced by ADMRL and is the first single to be released from the groups double remix EP “Organic Hate and Synthetic Love.”

Mastermind of The FM’s, Matte Namer, is an artistic intellect with a brilliant imagination and a cool flair for dramatic makeup. He is darkly talented and salaciously expressive bringing vivid color into a mundane and troubled world through music and videos such as this one. He challenges humanity to live rather than dream, and does it with conviction.

The video is mind evoking, fiery, and contagious. Prior music and videos have been similar, although “Change Your Men Up”, seems slightly sonically superior. I’m excited to see what the FMs come up with next as they are a quiet surprise that makes a lot of noise. It’s difficult not to wonder what goes on in the head of Matte Namer when he creates. Eventually The FMs are going somewhere…..not sure exactly where but wherever they land it’s going to be a fun ride.
