Travis Kelce Adds Music Critic To Resume, Calls Taylor Swift’s Upcoming Album “Unbelievable”

The reviews – or at least one of them – are in for Taylor Swift‘s upcoming album The Tortured Poets Department, though the critic might be just a little biased.

“I have heard some of it,” said Kansas City Chiefs tight end (and Swift’s boyfriend) Travis Kelce at the pre-Super Bowl press event in Las Vegas last night. “It is unbelievable. I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”

Kelce was not in the audience when Swift won her fourth Album of the Year Grammy Award Sunday night, but he did watch from afar.

“I was fortunate enough that we landed right in Las Vegas just in time for me to turn on my phone and catch her winning her 13th award and announcing the new album,” Kelce said at the presser. “And then obviously the big one at the end, winning Album of the Year for a fourth time. It’s pretty amazing.”

Kelce praised his girlfriend for “rewriting the history books,” and promised he’d match her victory with one of his own. “I told her I need to hold up my end of the bargain and bring home some hardware, too,” Kelce said, referring to this Sunday’s Super Bowl battle between the Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. “Taylor has an unbelievable fan base that follows her and supports her throughout her life, and it’s been fun to gather the Swifties and Chiefs Kingdom and open them up to the football world and the sports world.”

Also commenting on Swift yesterday was NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who batted away any suggestion that the league is somehow behind the ratings-boosting romance. “I think the idea that this was a script, that this was pre-planned, that’s nonsense,” Goodell said. “It’s frankly not even worth talking about. We see two people together having fun together. That’s wonderful. I wish them well. They’re both wonderful people.”
