While on Late Night With Seth Meyers, he said that his horse in the movie was the same as the one that he filmed with on his Netflix series.

“When I met Jon [M. Chu, Wicked’s director] for the first time in London, having been invited to play Fiyero, we talked for a couple of hours. And you know, Fiyero has a horse. He has a steed. And I knew there was only one man for the job, and that was Jack, the horse that I worked with in Bridgerton,” he shared.

Jonathan got his wish and was able to film with Jack again.

“It was a companionship like no other,” Jonathan said about the bond he shared with the horse, who he described as “very present and calm when you need him to be.”

However, the actor also told a funny story about a day on set when he was feeling “so bonded” with his horse. After wrapping, he said goodbye to Jack, only to be told that he was actually riding another horse called Pinocchio.

“It was a dark set,” he joked.

You might be surprised to learn how old Jonathan‘s character Fiyero is in the movie.
