Prince Harry has lost his legal challenge with regard to being allowed to make private payments for police protection for him and his family when they’re in the UK.
The Duke of Sussex had requested a judicial review of the rejection of his offer to pay for protection in the UK.
When Prince Harry stepped down from his royal duties in 2020 he lost the security that he once had.

Prince Harry and his lawyers argued that without police protection it would not be safe for him to return to the U.K. with his wife Meghan Markle and children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
In the U.K., the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures stated that they were opposed to the idea that a “wealthy person should be permitted to ‘buy’ protective security,” per the BBC.
