London Fashion Week has just wrapped, and while the latest designer collections were absolutely giving (more on that later) the street style set proved once again that there is just as much wardrobe inspo sitting front row as there is on the runways. They also proved – no bias here, of course – that London is *truly* the home of creativity.
While the New York street street style are known for their timeless minimalism, the Milanese show-goers for their rich, dramatic exuberance and the Parisians for the super high-end designer moments, anyone with their finger on the fashion pulse knows that London’s fashion week attendees don’t hold back when it comes to experimenting.
This season’s street style had it all, and provided perhaps the most interesting smorgasbord of wardrobe inspo we’ve seen since the heady heights of pre-pandemic fashion weeks. One of the busiest schedules since Covid, it seems the number – and variety – of designers showing this season encouraged not only more guests but also something of a sartorial masterclass from said attendees.
From seriously major outerwear to super sexy, strappy details, bold accent colours (most often worn head-to-toe) and endless new ways layer, the six-month wait for the runway trends to hit the shops in autumn just got a lot more bearable thanks to these spring street style highlights.
