This flirty video of Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page is going viral because fans are convinced they’re together IRL

Netflix‘s new period drama Bridgerton, produced by Shonda Rhimes and based on the romance novels by Julia Quinn, is the hot topic of conversation at the moment. And when we say hot, we mean hot. Case in point…

The beloved show, which landed on Christmas Day and became an instant hit for its extravagant filming locations, costume dramz and steamy sex scenes – follows the romance between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor, 25) and Duke of Hastings Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page, 31). The pair’s on-screen chemistry is undeniable, and now fans are starting to speculate that they *might* have something going on IRL, too.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, Regé and Phoebe were asked whether any off-screen romance was going on, and the pair both laugh while Phoebe appears to blush.

Regé says: “I think that everything you need to know is on camera. All the sparks that flew came off the beautiful scripts we were handed.

“So, I think that the sparky words, scripts and material are more than enough.”

When one of the hosts jokes that Regé and Phoebe are actually conducting the interview together in the same room, Regé says: “We’re actually playing footsie under here.”

The flirty clip has been doing the rounds on social media, with many Bridgerton fans hoping for an off-screen romance between the two actors.

One comment read: “Their chemistry is so out of this world and they really look so good together… I’m still hoping they’ll be together in real life tho!”

Another said: “Phoebe is straight up stunning, Rege laughing is music to my ears, and seeing them together and flirting and blushing… my gosh.”

“Rege definitely doesn’t have a woman in his life. That apartment is a bachelor pad,” wrote another fan. Does that mean there’s hope for us yet?

While Netflix have yet to confirm Bridgerton‘s renewal, industry schedule resource Production Weekly has listed ‘Bridgerton 02’ for production in March 2021, suggesting that a second series could be underway soon.
