This £39 Topshop dress is going viral because it looks *just* like a Rixo number

If I had a Rixo dress for every wedding I went to last year (12), I would be a very stylish but very broke woman.

Whilst the cult dress label produces the most glorious print dresses, just one gown will set you back at least £300. I’ve done the maths and can safely say I’m glad I spent the £3,600 on booze instead.

Thankfully for anyone with a penchant for Rixo – without the bank balance to feed their cravings, Topshop has released an uncannily similar dress just in time for wedding guest dressing season.

The Topshop Idol Mixed Print Midi Dress is a very reasonable £39 and you’d be hard-pressed to find one as similar in design to a Rixo number.

The all-over multicoloured mixed print midi dress ’embraces design, the new season way’, according to the high street stalwart’s design team.

Mixed print midi dresses have been worn and loved by, well, everyone, before quickly becoming one of the major go-to fabrication styles for all manner of fashion houses and now high street stores. Despite being pretty major last summer, the trend shows no sign of abating for summer 2020.

Hues that would tend to clash – such as red and purple, green and pink or orange and blue – somehow work with this trend and as this Topshop number proves, the louder, the better.

The dress is from Idol – Topshop’s design-driven, premium offering helmed by Topshop’s Design Director, Anthony Cuthbertson, which has fast become a staple curation to snap up in the GLAMOUR office.

The best part is, after you’ve teamed it with some strappy heels for a wedding, you can pair it with Supergas and a denim jacket for the rest of the summer. The cost-per-wear renders this dress a must-buy.
