I have to admit, I was quite skeptical, and assumed it was another face mask fad that wouldn’t result in any actual skincare benefits. But I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The Anti-Wrinkle Mask, which goes on prior to the gold leaf, feels luxurious, smells incredible and contains an impressive list of skin-loving ingredients like restorative peptides and hydrating hyaluronic acid. As for the gold? It was great fun and makes for a great picture. Plus, massaging in into skin undoubtedly provides an instant glow up.

This is fancy. Wow. It was more of a faff than slapping on a sheet mask, but this was an occasion in itself. I have to say, I really enjoyed the process of giving my skin a nice, thorough clean, topping up the moisture with the Corrective Anti-Wrinkle Mask and then pasting the gold-flecked foil artfully over my face. Did I feel ridiculous wandering round the office with this on. No sir-ee. I felt glorious. I only wished I’d saved this for at home with a fluffy robe a towel turban and a glass of champers. My skin felt glowy and hydrated after – but this is mega expensive to make a regular habit.

This is undoubtedly the most luxurious face mask I have ever used. Although rather fiddly to actually apply, the inconvenience was compensated for with the smooth feel and elegant finish. After all, I literally had 24k gold sitting on my face. Did I notice an immediate improvement in my skin? Not so much. But, I definitely felt like royalty.
