It starts by scouring the high street (both IRL and online) to see what our options are when it comes to cotton pyjamas, luxury pyjamas and silk pyjamas. Then, after calling in samples from a host of brands — some well-known, others new discoveries — my fellow editors and I put them to the test, wearing them for multiple nights (and days when working from home) before rating them against the following criteria:

I’ve been a lover of pyjamas far longer than a shopping writer; pre-teen Sophie wished for nothing but fresh nightwear every Christmas Eve.
