New Look has been a consistent player in my wardrobe since I was at school – be it via a pair of tall jeans or some comfy heels for all five of my bridesmaids, they’ve had my back and grown up with me – but, like most millennials I’m sure, they’d somewhat fallen off my radar.
Now, after seeing just how much they’ve upped their game? Consider them top of the list. Here, from brooch-adorned blazers to tailoring and day-to-night knitwear, I’ve called out some of my favourite pieces at New Look that I think you should have on your radar.
The real suede set
Most people don’t know this, but New Look has a premium collection – and it’s full of affordable luxuries like this real suede skirt and jacket set. Granted, the mini hasn’t quite landed on the website just yet (stay tuned), but I couldn’t not mention it.
Suede is everywhere this season – on large, slouchy bags à la Chanel and Dior (and as cosigned by the Zoë Kravitz), and in the outerwear category. Thanks to Miu Miu and Coach, suede jackets remain popular among the fashion set. New Look dropping the most divine, mole-coloured suede co-ord, then? Very welcome; very genius. Wear it with some knee high-boots and sheer tights for a look that’ll take you from desk to drinks.
The jacket
Funnel neck autumn jackets were seen across Altuzarra, Alaïa, Victoria Beckham and Christopher Esber both last year and in early 2026, so it’s safe to say the trend is going nowhere. As soon as I spotted this high neck trench iteration, finished with a flattering cinched-in belt detail (another must for A/W), I knew it’d be coming home with me. I love it in faux leather, too.
