Stevie Wonder is taking Songs in the Key of Life back on the road. The legendary singer, songwriter, musician and producer, who turned 76 in May, will embark this fall on a 50th anniversary tour for the album, which he will perform in its entirety.
Promoted by Live Nation and produced by Wonder Productions, Inc., it opens Oct. 13 at Utilita Arena in Birmingham, England, before crossing Europe with stops in Paris, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Hannover, Cologne, Amsterdam and Dublin. Wonder will then return to the U.K. for shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow before launching the North American leg Nov. 19 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The U.S. run continues in Chicago and Washington, D.C., followed by two nights at Detroit’s Fox Theatre on Dec. 8-9, before closing Dec. 19 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
Originally released in 1976, Songs in the Key of Life remains one of Wonder’s defining achievements. The sprawling double album earned him the third of his three Grammys for Album of the Year, eventually went Diamond after selling more than 10 million copies and was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry.
Its songs have proved similarly durable. “As,” “Love’s in Need of Love Today,” “Sir Duke” and “Isn’t She Lovely” remain fixtures of the cultural soundtrack, with the album’s themes of love, resilience and connection continuing to resonate five decades after its release.
That sense of enduring relevance sits at the center of Wonder’s anniversary performances, which arrive at a moment when, as the announcement puts it, “the world continues to search for connection, healing and joy.” The artist has yet to play a full concert this year but has previously toured Songs in the Key of Life in 2014-15. His most high-profile performance in 2026 was in June at the opening of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
