Nestled in the forest of Michigan, music lovers from all walks of life congregate for a weekend of lasers, side quests, hammock naps, and sets from legendary DJs and bands. Electric Forest isn’t just a few days of stage hopping and dancing, it’s art installations big and small, a maze full of hidden rooms and experiences, live painting demonstrations, secret sets at intimate stages, Christmas-themed sex dungeons, stilted fairies , and above all, a thriving community of of radical love.
PLUR, or Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect, is abundant at Electric Forest. Complete strangers become confidants, newcomers are entrusted with the secret rituals of the forest (like shouting for the always elusive Carl), and trading trinkets and kandi is the reigning social currency. In the forest, you have to expect the unexpected.
To kick off the weekend, dubstep/trap/future bass trio Levity revisited the Honey Comb stage, where they had played their first Electric Forest set in 2023. Other highlights included DJ Diesel (Shaq) b2b T-Pain, Wooli b2b Illenium, and an unforgettable Griz golden hour set.
