Swedes Saddle Up For Portola Festival

San Francisco will again serve as the place to be for electronic music lovers this fall when the Portola festival returns to the city’s Pier 80 from Sept. 26-27. The bill is led by Robyn, Swedish House Mafia and the long-awaited return of DOG BLOOD — the Skrillex/Boys Noize side project making its first appearance under the moniker since 2019.

Robyn’s headlining slot marks her only festival appearance of the year, arriving on the heels of her first album in eight years, Sexistential. Swedish House Mafia will make one of only two currently announced U.S. appearances in 2026, while Zara Larsson, Tove Lo and Soulwax round out what is essentially a Scandinavian takeover of the Bay.

Elsewhere on the bill are Four Tet, Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, Overmono, Kelela, Skepta, Parcels, SG Lewis, Daphni, Ben UFO, Prospa, Mochakk, horsegiirL, Marlon Hoffstadt. Australian hyperpop wrecking ball Ninajirachi, ex-Beastie Boy Mike D’s new MIKED5D project and Sporty Spice herself, aka Melanie C, who will spin a DJ set.

Portola will once again host Despacio, the towering audiophile disco installation designed by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy alongside Soulwax’s David and Stephen Dewaele and sound engineer John Klett. Bay Area roots also remain central, as DJ Shadow will celebrate 30 years of his landmark album Endtroducing… with a special appearance, while local underground figures like erika, sfcowboy and the Program Audio collective offer further local connections.

Passes go on sale beginning Monday (June 1) for previous attendees, with the public onsale set for the next day. Additional artists, including a still-unannounced Sunday headliner, are expected in the coming months.
