‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ Season 2 Trailer – A New God Rises This Month

The trailer for “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” Season 2 introduces Titan X, a mysterious, god-like monster on a path of destruction.

As Kurt Russell‘s Lee Shaw says in the preview, “To destroy a monster, it takes another monster.” That’s where Kong and Godzilla come in.

The 10-epsiode second season premieres February 27 on Apple TV+, with new episodes following every Friday through May 1.

The latest addition to Legendary’s Monsterverse spans three generations, revealing the ways that earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.

Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm return to star, joined by newcomer Amber Midthunder (Prey).

Season 2 picks up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. Buried secrets are revealed, reuniting our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea.

The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon.

Chris Black, who created the series with Matt Fraction, serves as showrunner.

Black also executive produces alongside Joby Harold & Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures, Hiro Matsuoka & Takemasa Arita on behalf of Toho, and Jen Roskind, Matt Shakman, Andrew Colville, Lawrence Trillling, and Andrew Colville.

The Monsterverse will continue with Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, in theaters on March 26, 2027, and the as-yet-untitled “Monarch” spinoff series centered on Wyatt Russell as young Colonel Lee Shaw.
