A Marc Jacobs show is always the highlight of New York Fashion Week—even if it takes place a week before. For the designer’s 40th anniversary, a collection that paid homage to paper dolls, childhood nostalgia, and wonderment, the stars turned out in their finest fashion moments at the Park Avenue Armory, including longtime friends of the brand Lil Kim, Dakota Fanning, and Lori Harvey, who invited ELLE.com to join her as she got ready.
“The inspo for tonight’s glam was all about doll-esque beauty,” Harvey says from her suite at the Aman New York in Midtown Manhattan. The model and founder of the skin care company SKN by LH chose a festive and flashy look to match: a two-piece set embellished with crystals, worn over a white tank top and paired with a white Marc Jacobs chain bag. “My favorite kind of statement outfit: chic from head to toe, with a subtle hint of sparkle,” Harvey adds.
