Why Travis Kelce Isn’t Going to Grammys 2024 as Taylor Swift’s Date

If you’ve spent the week consuming Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce AFC Championship montages set to Swift’s songs, you might be wondering why Travis Kelce isn’t going to Grammys 2024 as Swift’s plus-one. The answer is an obvious one: he’s got practice babes.

While Kelce would of course love to be there to support Swift, who is nominated for six Grammys including Album of the Year for Midnights, he’s got a little game to prepare for. Maybe you’ve heard of it.

TMZ previously reported that the Kansas City Chiefs are on a “strict schedule ahead of squaring up to the 49ers for the Super Bowl.” Kelce confirmed as much on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show on 31 Jan.

“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for, but I think I got practice on Sunday,” he said. “Is it Saturday or Sunday? I know I got practice Saturday, but Sunday’s a travel day. Unfortunately, I gotta get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl that we got in a week.”

Sure! Meanwhile, Tayvis fans have already mapped the route and schedule for how Swift can make it to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl on 11 Feb after departing Tokyo on the 10th.

Also, Kelce’s brother Jason Kelce is now referring to Swift as a member of the family. “We had the whole family down on the field. We had me, Mom, Dad and Taylor. Everybody was down there,” he said on last week’s episode of New Heights. Travis Kelce responded: “The only people that mattered,” he said. “Our family, friends and the people that came on the f–king flight with us, dude.”

Also also, the couple has now said “I love you,” likely multiple times. Big week. We wish them all the best in their teen drama romance of dreams — even if they won’t be sitting Grammys-side together this year.
