Kevin Spacey Delivers Yet Another Christmas Message, This Time With Tucker Carlson, Says “Netflix Exists Because Of Me”

Like mistletoe and candy canes, Kevin Spacey has arrived with his annual Christmas message in the character of Frank Underwood, the character he played on the Netflix drama House of Cards.

This time, Tucker Carlson is playing along, doing a semi-serious interview at first, then breaking the wall and asking Spacey/Underwood about his future plans as a performer.

The interview’s premise is that Frank Underwood might enter the race for president, saying that the country is “mired in so much contradiction and confusion.”

“What doesn’t come with a trigger warning these days. We are far too close to having a bean bag chair in the Oval Office,” Spacey says. He added that his White House wouldn’t have someone with bunny ears roaming the halls.

How did we get to this point? “Fear,” says Spacey/Underwood.

He goes on to blame Netflix for excluding him, claiming he built the network thanks to the enormous success of House of Cards, the streamer’s first original scripted series.

“It is bizarre they publicly cut ties with me on allegations that have now been proven false,” Spacey says. “Netflix exists because of me. I put them on the map and they tried to put me in the ground.”

He offers a VP slot to Carlson, who says he’ll “sleep on it.”

The real-life Spacey has been battling legal problems that cost him the Underwood role, and has been trying to mount a comeback with little success.
