If you’ve noticed anything about the fashion show landscape over the last few seasons, you’ll know that few do it better than Simon Porte Jacquemus.
From the lavender fields of Provence to the salt flats of Camargue via rolling golden wheat fields, Jacquemus and his team are relentlessly searching for pure gold dust when it comes to finding a location for their latest runway showcase. But how to top his iconic aforementioned settings?
Taking to the grounds of the Palace of Versailles just outside of Paris, Jacquemus did just that as he presented his spring/summer 2024 “Le Chouchou” collection.
But before the first model had even stepped foot on the runway the afternoon had already served up a spectacle, with guests not only arriving by rowing boat but also watching the show from said boat having moored up along the edge of the lake.
With Emily Ratajkowski, Eva Longoria and Claire Foy all in attendance it was never going to be anything but glamorous, but one of our major guestlist highlights came courtesy of Victoria and David Beckham, who were the epitome of elegance as they were rowed to their spot along the bank.
With his a-list arrivals finally in situ, it was, of course, time for the French fashion designer’s latest jaw-dropping spectacle to commence.
