Mariah Carey Has Premiered Jet Black Hair And We’re Obsessed

Mariah Carey makes a big return to her hearts and minds each year – due to the fact that she sings arguably one of the biggest Christmas anthems of all time, claiming the festive period as her own.

This year, however, she has made a statement that we couldn’t have predicted as she came to claim her “queen of Christmas” crown.

An Instagram post from earlier this week shows Mariah Carey sporting seriously spooky waist-length jet black hair. First thing you need to know is this – it’s a wig (from wigmaker Noah Scott), and we’re here for the look 100%.

We see the star sporting a witch’s hat, a sexy black body-suit and knee-high boots, as she cycles on an exercise bike in her Halloween-themed get up, surrounded by carved pumpkins in a hella spooky forest.

The makeup is something to behold: celebrity makeup artist Kristofer Buckle gave Mariah a bold black lip, a beauty mark, legendarily arched eyebrows, as well incredible, dramatic eyeliner wings.

But then, the season shifts, and all of a sudden Mariah is riding a reindeer, in her Christmas best, with her signature caramel curls returned.

It’s an amazing demonstration of the shift in seasons, and evidence that Mariah can rock whatever season she chooses. She also hits her legendary high note singing “IT’S TIME”, followed by a rendition of All I Want For Christmas Is You, signalling Christmas (and Mariah) season officially OPEN.

The post is also captioned: “IT’S TIIIIIIIIME!!!!!!!! 🎄🎉❤️#MariahSZN”.

Mariah season, indeed, has been met with HUGE support in the comments.

British fashion illustrator and designer Hayden Williams posted: “Mariah coming to snatch Xmas all over again”, while Scandal actress Kerry Washington commented what we were all thinking: “Queen of Christmas is HERE!!!”.

You heard it here first folks – Halloween is over, and Mariah is claiming us all until the end of December.
