It’s here! All the best dresses from the Cannes Film Festival red carpet so far

Red carpet fashion is officially back. But while awards season and the Met Gala may be over there’s no time to dwell, as Cannes Film Festival – forever host to the most glamorous fashion moments – is officially underway.

After two years of Covid-induced restrictions, those of us with a keen interested in the most extravagant side of fashion are particularly pleased to see the festival return to its former epic scale, with actors, models, musicians and the world’s chicest influencers all making their way to the French Riviera.

This year the Cannes Film Festival sees Deepika Padukone, Rebecca Hall, Noomi Rapace and Jasmine Trinca take up their positions on the official jury, which already guarantees some major red carpet looks.

Playing host to a number of big names already, last night saw the first instalment of the ten-day extravaganza take place with Eva Longoria, Lori Harvey and influencer Caroline Daur setting the bar high for some serious fashion moments.

Undoubtedly one of our favourite dresses from night one, Lori paired her buttercup yellow Alexandre Vauthier gown with Messika jewellery to create not only a super chic look but also one which carried the perfect level of glamour for such an occasion.

Eva Longoria opted for something with slightly less volume, with her black Alberta Ferretti gown instead opting for sheer detailing to make its statement.

Introducing the season’s favourite fuchsia trend to proceedings, influencer Caroline Daur opted for a particularly show-stopping pink sequin Valentino look which she paired with the brand’s instantly-recognisable platforms and Tiffany & Co. jewellery.
