‘True Believers’ Trailer, Premiere Date: First Look At Vice TV Series On Strange World Of Cults

EXCLUSIVE: Vice TV has unveiled a trailer for its six-episode series True Believers, examining the strange world of cults and the crimes they commit, announcing that the show will begin airing as part of its Investigative Night on April 11th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

True Believers is an immersive look inside the mind-bending stories of devotion and manipulation that allow these communities to thrive. Once upon a time, they existed in dark corners, but today the internet is revealing just how many there are and making them more accessible than ever before, attracting followers and financial support from around the world. Through intimate first-person accounts from current and former devotees, the series reveals how easy it is to surrender control of your money and your mind and the long tail of the fallout for those who manage to escape. It relies on archival footage to get inside the most unbelievable alleged cults currently operating, examining their roots, leaders, victims and the fights to end them.

True Believers is a Vice World News production, executive produced by Wiliam Fairman, Alex Miller and Kristen Burns. The series is distributed worldwide by VICE Distribution.
