Exclusive Interview with Jon Moss

Super stoked to welcome you Jon! So we know a lot about you from TikTok, but for those who might not, tell us a little bit more about yourself and how you got on this road of pursuing music and TikTok content creation.

So, I started making music back in 2018 with my first mixtape “Journey of a broken gamer “ I made each song to try to get over the women that were in my life. I started TikTok when I was a truck driver and to bring laughter to the horrible situations I kept getting myself in.

One thing that I’m always interested in, when I sit down and chat with artists or bands, is when or what their defining moment was that they knew that they wanted to be in music… What was that moment in time for you?

Well I knew I wanted to make music when I realized I could truly express myself without anybody getting frustrated with what I’m doing . I don’t know how wrong I was but I’m happy I made a decision.

Do you write all your songs and do you mix and master yourself or do you have an engineer or a producer that works with you?

Oh I have a team of people that were going through similar struggles as I was with when I got to LA, so now we work together to make absolute fire music. I’m proud of every single one of the people on my team.

I am personally on a mission to get good music heard by everyone. What is one thing that bothers you the most about trying to come up in the music world today, and do you prefer being underground or, is the mainstream something you strive for?

Honestly I just want to put up my music as fast as possible. I get in trouble because I drop things without a plan, but I don’t really care how big it gets as long as it’s heard and enjoyed at least one time.

One question that I like to ask artists is, how did Covid affect your music in particular and the music scene in your area?

Oh it stopped live shows all together, but it also made it so that I can make music a lot faster without any other distractions

I grew up in the 90’s, I listened to everyone from Dr. Dre, to Weezer, to Pink Floyd, Metallica, Cypress Hill and back again. I truly believe that the 90’s were one of the greatest era’s for original music. Which era of music is one of your favorites?

I would say the Internet era. The diversity and music was crazy.

Thank you for taking the time to chat with us today Jon. Tell us where to find your latest single and what we can expect in the future from you!

My latest single is BE ALIRIGHT, and you can find me on Spotify, TokTok, and Instagram @jonmosslol. Thanks for the support!
