Addison Rae, Jourdan Dunn and Dua Lipa lead the best-dressed on the red carpet at London’s Fashion Awards

The Fashion Awards returned to the Royal Albert Hall on Monday night following its digital showcase in 2020, and – as hoped – the return of the IRL red carpet marked a return of some epic high fashion moments.

While it was the likes of Dior’s Kim Jones, Loewe’s Jonathan Anderson and Miuccia Prada vying for the top gong of the night (spoiler alert: Kim Jones took home Designer of the Year), it was these designers’ muses – the models, the musicians, the actors and the editors – who put on a show before the first award had even been introduced.

Standing outside in -1°C temperatures on a Monday night wearing – as was the case with many attendees – very little may not seem like the most appealing way to kick off your week, but these fashion fans are nothing if not devoted to a good look. And when duty calls, they deliver.

With Billy Porter hosting the evening it was no surprise that his wardrobe was suitably extra, with a smattering of outfit changes punctuating his time on stage. It was, however, his red carpet arrival look which stole the show; a sequinned black and silver Richard Quinn with super exaggerated shoulders and a high neck.

Joining him on the red carpet was Addison Rae, who got into the spirit of the event and stepped outside of her comfort zone, opting for a super punchy, beautiful pink and black gown with heavy embellishment, also by Richard Quinn, which she wore with a pair of silk opera gloves.

Other major red carpet moments came courtesy of Jourdan Dunn, who looked incredible in red Andrea Brocca, Gabrielle Union in neon green Valentino couture and Griff, who arrived wearing a full Simone Rocha look which was utterly perfect for her.
