For the first time, Lizzo performed the song live in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, and — dare I say — this version is even better than the first. Backed by badass guitarists and a team of background singers synced in perfect harmony, she belted out every lyric and brought the party-worthy dance moves to match.
Halfway through the video, Lizzo even busted out Sasha the Flute to fill in for Cardi B, who appears on the original version of the song, and we were not disappointed. “CAME TO @bbcradio1 TO SHOW YALL HOW I DRINKS MY TEA!!!! S/O TO @iamcardib FOR LETTIN ME COVER FA HER AND S/O #FLOOTGANG FOR HOLDIN ME DOWN 😤,” Sasha the Flute captioned an Instagram post on Thursday after treating us to her saccharine melodies and impressive high notes.
