Each and every April, depending on your age, you can expect two things: taxes, and the Justin TimberlakeIt’s Gonna Be May” meme. This year, Justin’s fellow NSYNC member Lance Bass added his own spin with the creation of a TikTok dance challenge. On Thursday, Lance challenged fans of the group to duplicate their synchronized choreo to “It’s Gonna Be Me.” I don’t know about you, but this is something I’ve been practicing on my own since the song’s release in 2000. Granted, I was only 7 at the time, and my dance skills have improved immensely in the 21 years since.

If you’re on the fence about whether you want to participate, particularly since “meme day” has passed, the challenge is really all about having fun. “Guncle Lance here to teach. Can’t wait to see your videos,” Lance even commented on his own video. So if I’m to potentially make a fool of myself on the internet, at least we can maybe do it together? Lance’s hashtags alone are well worth a watch of the full TikTok above, even if you don’t participate. My personal favorite is #RamenNoodles.
