Review – “Invisible Stranger” The PondHawks

Through the dismal tapestry and empty canvas of the pandemic comes a creative barrage of hope and inspiration via the Chicago-based group called The PondHawks, through their latest release “Invisible Stranger.” This song is fueled with a fiery intensity created with the band’s melodic destiny.

Immediate attention to this song is brought about by the same intro and lead singer Mario Novelli’s vocals while Jorie Gracen’s inspiring harmonies add a sophisticated elegance to the track. Unburdened by the isolation of the times, the creative duo reflects upon mankind’s uncertainty. Their own heartfelt fears create a relevant warning and passion that makes the music and the lyrics authentic.

As a duo The PondHawks are colorfully vivid storytellers. Their lyrics as well as the music tell the story. There is a climax to the song that presents itself as a powerful and sweeping avalanche always moving forward. There are no musical rules in this song. It’s energetic, vivacious, and moving all in the same glance.

The PondHawks have been at duo since 2010, topping the charts of reverb nation. They have been Grammy nominated and have an incredible following of 600,000 fans. They are the sweethearts of Indie music as they constantly continue to create.

“Invisible Stranger” is still making a huge splash as the second wave of the pandemic sweeps the nation and the planet. I am personally waiting in anticipation for the next wave of music to be released by The PondHawks…..
