By chapter three, Marvel’s Avengers fast-forwards several years after the tragedy in San Francisco. After accidentally letting her guard down and having A.I.M identify her as Inhuman, and with the hopes of bringing the Avengers back together, Kamala sets out on a daunting task, making for an intense and captivating gameplay experience. But Marvel’s Avengers doesn’t end with the onset of the credits.

What Marvel’s Avengers’ Post-Credits Scene Means

The post-credits scene in Marvel’s Avengers, though brief, gives players an insight into what future installments in the series could look like. The scene shows Monica Rappaccini sitting at a round table, speaking to a room full of people, implying that George Tarleton had injected the regenerative formula into one of her clones, allowing her to narrowly escape. The room is filled with more clones of Rappaccini, who now appears to be the Scientist Supreme of A.I.M. Her voiceover explains that A.I.M. remains committed to experimenting on the Inhumans.

The scene then moves on to focus on the body of a Kree Sentry, the same one Kamala Khan defeated in the game’s finale. A door on the sentry suddenly opens up, shooting a pod into space destined for an unknown location. This appears to suggest there may be a new intergalactic friend or foe to deal with in future games, though it remains anyone’s best guess who it may be. Marvel’s Avengers made various hints to Captain Marvel throughout the game, so this may be a sign that she’ll join the game in future DLC for Marvel’s Avengers.

New stories and new playable heroes are going to be added to Marvel’s Avengers soon, so it will be interesting to see how this ending ties in. The post-credit scene gives players a bit of insight for what they can expect from future DLC installments, and based on what can be inferred, the future of the Marvel’s Avengers series looks big and bright.
