Nightdive Resurrecting ‘Shadow Man: Remastered’ For PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch And PC

Nightdive Studios are at it again. If enhanced versions of System Shock 2 or Blade Runner aren’t your thing (why wouldn’t they be?), then how about Acclaim’s 1999 action-adventure game based on the comic series by Valiant Comics, Shadow Man?

Nightdive Studios has teamed up with Valiant Entertainment to announce Shadow Man: Remastered for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (Steam, GOG.com). The game will be remastered using Nightdive’s KEX engine, which will add a bunch of graphical enhancements to the game. This includes 4K widescreen display, dynamic shadow mapping and per-pixel lighting, antialiasing and other visual effects. On top of that, the remaster will also restore content that was cut from the original game!

“Our goal with the remaster is to give today’s generation of gamers all the features that they expect from a modern title while preserving the qualities that made Valiant’s iconic character and the original Shadow Man game such memorable classics to begin with,” explains Nightdive Studios CEO Stephen Kick.

In Shadow Man, you are Michael LeRoi, the current incarnation of Shadow Man: A lineage of voodoo warriors who protect the world of the living (known as Liveside) from threats crossing over from Deadside.

No release date has been announced yet.
