Batwoman Cast & Character Guide | Screen Rant

The Batwoman cast consists of notable TV and movie actors who’ve come together to bring the latest Arrowverse series to life on the small screen and the very first series in this universe to take place in Gotham City. In 2018’s Elseworlds crossover event, Batwoman and the Arrowverse’s version of Gotham were introduced, along with confirmation that Batman exists (or existed) in this franchise. Now, instead of being a guest star, Batwoman headlines her own TV series which airs on Sunday nights.

Based on the character of the same name from DC Comics, The CW’s Batwoman is developed by Caroline Dries, who’s written and produced episodes of Smallville, Melrose Place, and The Vampire Diaries, along with Greg Berlanti, one of the network’s most prolific producers; he co-created the Arrowverse as a whole, including Supergirl, which originally aired on CBS. And now, he has continued that relationship with WB by co-developing Batwoman.

Batwoman was officially ordered to series in mid-2019 and received a full writing staff to help shepherd the show through its first season (and presumably through its second, as it very likely will be renewed considering its popularity thus far). Furthermore, the Batwoman cast was fleshed out with top-tier actors and actresses, some of whom have headlined previous shows before. Here is a full rundown of the Batwoman cast, including those with recurring roles and those who are guest-starring.

Batwoman Main Cast & Characters

She is also an outed lesbian, which is something she has in common with the person who portrays her: Ruby Rose. Rose achieved prominence as an actress for her role as Stella Carlin on Orange is the New Black. Following her Netflix role, she appeared in blockbuster films such as John Wick: Chapter 2, Pitch Perfect 3, and The Meg.

In the comics, Alice (or Red Alice) is meant to be Kate Kane’s twin sister who becomes a supervillain. In the series, Alice is portrayed by Rachel Skarsten, who previously played Black Canary in the short-lived Birds of Prey TV series. Skarsten recently appeared in Fifty Shades of Grey and as Elizabeth I in Reign.
