The Weeknd Visiting Stadiums On Summer Tour

Having just released his new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, the Weeknd has announced a spring and summer North American stadium tour, kicking off May 9 in Phoenix and running through Sept. 3 in San Antonio, Texas. Playboi Carti and Mike Dean will open.

Click here for details on tickets, which will be available through a variety of pre-sales next week. CashApp is donating $1 for every ticket sold through their card to Los Angeles wildfire relief. Among the highlights of the itinerary are a June 25-26 stand at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and two hometown Toronto shows at the soon-to-open Rogers Stadium on July 27-28.

Hurry Up Tomorrow (XO/Republic) completes a trilogy already featuring the LPs After Hours and Dawn FM. The album includes guest appearances by Carti, Anitta, Justice, Florence + the Machine, Travis Scott, Lana Del Rey, Future and electronic music legend Giorgio Moroder.

As previously reported, the artist, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, will act in a feature film “extension” of Hurry Up Tomorrow — a so-called “musically driven psychological thriller” written and directed by Trey Edward Shults and also starring Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan.

Lionsgate has secured worldwide theatrical distribution for the project, which will be released May 16. Tesfaye wrote the score in tandem with Oneohtrix Point Never’s Daniel Lopatin. He previously starred in the maligned HBO series The Idol, which ran for a single season of five episodes in 2023.
