The first trailer for James Gunn’s Superman premiered and showed audiences a preview of the new Man of Steel film set to be released in theaters on July 11, 2025.
Gunn previewed the trailer for the press earlier in the week, saying that the movie was about “kindness” and “a movie about being good.”
“I believe in the goodness of human beings, and I believe that most people in this country despite their ideological beliefs or politics are doing their best to get by and are trying to be good people despite what it might seem like to the other side or what that other side might be, and I think this movie is about that,” Gunn said.
The trailer for the DC Studios film gives audiences a look at Superman and Clark Kent, played by David Corenswet. Rachel Brosnahan, who plays the role of Lois Lane, is also featured in the preview. Several shots also focus on Lex Luthor, played by Nicholas Hoult.
