“I’ll Shoot the Drones Down Myself”: Marjorie Taylor Greene Threatens to Take Mystery Drones Into Her Own Hands

For almost a month now, mystery drones have been spotted dotting the skies of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. That’s been disconcerting to residents who would like to know who is behind the unmanned aerial vehicles, and on Tuesday, several federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security, released a joint statement saying that analysis shows that “the sightings to date include a combination of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones, and law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and stars mistakenly reported as drones.” They added that they have “not identified anything anomalous and do not assess the activity to date to present a national security or public safety risk over the civilian airspace in New Jersey or other states in the northeast.”

Yet at least one person does not appear to be buying the government’s explanation, and it likely will not surprise you to hear that that person is Georgia lawmaker and known conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Greene, who took to Truth Social on Monday to declare, “I’m going to tell you right now that if they try to tell us all to stay inside, stay home, shelter in place ‘FOR OUR SAFETY’ from the drones, there is no way in hell I will comply with that absolute bullshit. Not doing it. No way. I’ll shoot the drones down myself along with every other red blooded freedom loving American.”

To be clear, no one from the government has said anything about sheltering in place because of the drones, at least not officially, and the joint statement would suggest no one who knows what they’re talking about believes there would be any reason to do so.

On the other hand, it’s possible that Jewish-space-lasers lady knows something they don’t!

Will Republican lawmakers take this under consideration? Survey says: probably not.
