Kim Kardashian has long used her glam to signal the latest mood or character she’s inhabiting. Who can forget when she dyed her raven black hair peroxide blonde over night to channel Marilyn Monroe.
Now, Kim has switched out her hair again, with the help of celebrity hair stylist Dimitris Giannetos, who shared a post on Instagram of Kim with a dramatic new cut – a much shorter, flicky shoulder-length bob that Dimitris dubbed “the ‘90s bob”. The haircut was given an extra nostalgic feel with the slick styling. Kim’s hair was side-parted then misted tight to her head in a nod to ‘90s wet-look hair that wouldn’t look out of place in sci-fi film The Matrix.
And, unlike some of the other styles that Kim has flirted with, it appears she’s properly committed since Dimitris captioned his post “fresh chop for the one and only @kimkardashian,” suggesting the look was created on her real hair and not with a wig.

As for the mood Kim’s trying to convey with this one, she quite literally means business. The haircut was created for Kim’s character on the set of All’s Fair by Ryan Murphy, where Kim is playing a powerful divorce lawyer at an all-female firm, alongside a cast that includes Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson and Teyana Taylor.
To finish the look off, Kim styled her new Matrix bob with a red leather croc textured trench coat, burgundy gloves and slim shades.
Since in this case, art is (sort of) replicating reality – Kim Kardashian has been training as a lawyer since 2019, after all – we wonder if she’ll keep the style in her real life.
