‘The Masked Singer’ UK Renewed For Seasons 6 & 7 Plus ‘After Mask’

The Masked Singer UK has cemented itself as an ITV entertainment juggernaut with a double season order for series six and seven, along with digital spin-off The After Mask.

The hit format, which originates in Korea and airs on Fox in the U.S., will return in the coming years via the rare double recommission.

Hosted by Joel Dommett, The Masked Singer sees celebrities dress up in costumes and perform songs to a group of judges including Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan, with one unmasked per episode. Past winners have included Joss Stone, Nicola Roberts and Natalie Imbruglia.

In The After Mask, produced in conjunction with Strong Watch Studios and hosted by Harriet Rose (Kiss FM, MTV, The Brits), there will be discussion and games about the night’s episode with the host and judges.

The Masked Singer attracts millions of viewers per ep and is now in the upper echelons of ITV entertainment series alongside the likes of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Britain’s Got Talent.

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning, ITV said: “The Masked Singer is one of the nation’s best loved entertainment shows and we are delighted that viewers will get to enjoy a further two series. We’ve seen some of music and TV’s biggest names masquerading in giant colourful, crazy costumes and the next two series promise to be even bigger.”

The Masked Singer UK is produced by Bandicoot Scotland, a joint venture with Argonon. The series is executive produced by Derek McLean, Daniel Nettleton and Claire Horton. It was commissioned for ITV by Rawcliffe and Commissioning Editor Joe Mace.
