Once again, her massive oval-cut diamond is ready for the cameras. The private couple is clearly making a statement with their very public display of their commitment to one another.
September 5: Gaga opens up about her relationship with Polansky in Vogue‘s October cover story, including their first few years living in relative “normalcy” during the pandemic, after they first met in December 2019. The pair connected over their shared loves, including “music, science, and art,” Gaga says.
Gaga also admits that it was Polansky who convinced her that her next venture, an album that will drop in February 2025, should be pop. “Michael is the person who told me to make a new pop record,“ she says. “He was like, ‘Babe. I love you. You need to make pop music.’”

“I just love my fiancé so much,” Gaga said to People on the red carpet. “He’s my best friend. He’s my partner, and I just feel like when you are with your best friend, everything changes.”
October 1: Lady Gaga makes an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and opens up about her relationship.
Gaga revealed that she had loved learning about Polansky’s childhood in Minnesota when the pair took a road trip to visit his father. “He took me to a house party… Everybody was, like, hanging out and we ordered pizza and it was just really cool,” she said.
She then opened up about his proposal.
“He proposed to me right after my birthday. So my birthday passed and I was like, ‘Well, I thought he was going to propose but then maybe…’”
After her birthday, Polansky planned a rock climbing trip for the couple. “You climb rocks?” asked an incredulous Kimmel. “I do now. I would do anything for love,” she replied with a smile.
“He didn’t propose to me at the top,” Gaga went on. “We climbed up to the top, took some photos, and then we went back down. And we were just walking back to the room and talking… It was very Michael, to ask me if he could ask me… He had the ring in his backpack so it was so super cute. He like, got in his backpack and pulled it out.”
As for the wedding, they’re still planning.
“We actually talk about going to the courthouse, just the two of us, and ordering Chinese food,” she said, before adding, “Knowing me, also, it could become like a circus with unicorns.”
