Gwen Stefani’s First Solo LP In Seven Years, ‘Bouquet,’ Due In November

Over the past five years, Gwen Stefani has gradually released several new solo songs, but never with a full-length album in sight. Today (Sept. 18), the No Doubt frontwoman and The Voice judge announced Bouquet, her first LP since 2016’s This Is What the Truth Looks Like. Judging by the cover art and the album’s first single, “Somebody Else’s,” Stefani is leaning into a pop/rock sound with a tinge of new wave mixed in. The song was recorded at Smoakstack Studios in Nashville, and produced by Scott Hendricks.

Since 2020, Stefani has released tracks such as “Let Me Introduce Myself,” “Slow Clap,” and “True Babe.” She has also appeared on Sean Paul’s “Light My Fire,” a duet with her husband Blake Shelton on “Purple Irises,” and teamed with Anderson .Paak on “Hello World,” which served as a Coca-Cola-sponsored Olympics theme song.

In April, Stefani and her No Doubt bandmates reunited at Coachella for the first time in nine years, leading to speculation about a full-fledged tour. However, the shows appeared to be one-offs, as Stefani has continued to book solo gigs, including a Friday appearance at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
